Lea Bita
Shkolla Shqipe Principal
My name is Eftalea (Lea) Bitta and I wish to introduce myself once again as Principal of Shkolla Shqipe Arberia of Chicago. I’m honored to have the opportunity since 2006 when the school was first created. I have been fortunate to work with a great staff at our School full of traditions that strive for excellence in our Albanian Language, History, and Ethnic Heritage.
My career in education until I retired was at John Hersey High School, District 214 in Arlington Heights, IL. I taught Business courses and was the Department Resource Head. In 1977, I was awarded by the Congress of the United States to receive a EPDA grant to pursue a Master’s and PHD grant at the University of Illinois. After receiving my Master’s Degree I had to forfeit the PHD grant, as I unfortunately lost my parents.
I look forward to fulfilling our mission and vision of perpetuating the Albanian Language here in Chicago until we are able to recruit a principal. I will also continue to work with our teachers, parents and the School Board to make sure your children have the opportunity to learn the Albanian Language and grow academically in all areas of our ethnicity.

I am very happy to be part of the team of Shkolla Shqipe! I have a 6 year's old girl Kaysee who also attends this school as well.I have been teaching preschoolers for almost 12 years, and I would love to teach our own beautiful and unique language to our children. Dr. Holta Kora
Shkolla Shqipe Teacher - Level 3
I have a deep passion for children's education. Learning the Albanian language is more than a profession for me; it is an opportunity to help younger generations connect with their culture and identity. By making the Albanian language lively and interesting, I hope to inspire students to be proud of their heritage and feel strong in their identity.
My goal is to create a warm and stimulating environment where each student feels safe and motivated to learn. I use different teaching methods to engage students, encouraging them to become active in the learning process. I believe that every child has incredible potential, and it gives me great pleasure to help them discover this potential.
